State Bound

Thanks for the great pictures....made me even sadder that I wasn't there, but Nick, I listened on the radio, with my little elementary students and you certainly gave the state champions a scare!

Speaking of state, little Mark Andrew qualified for state.....speech! Ha!  He would probably be mad if he even knew I was telling you all, but as a former speech coach, I know all the hard work that it takes to get to state and how hard it is to make it, so thought I would share his accomplishment (however nerdy) with all of my loved ones.

It's one of those things I really miss about momma, calling and telling her these things that probably aren't a big deal, but that we are proud of our kids about, but isn't such a big enough that I feel like I should call and put you all through the misery of listening to a boring ole momma drag on about her kids! :)  I also miss calling her and getting all the info and updates about all of you...so what is going on with everyone?

Anyway, Mark qualified in OID, and in Duet Acting received a superior medal and missed going to state by two points.  As he just was going to bed I told him I was blogging about his going to state and he said, "I will get ridiculed for that!" hahaha!

Hope you are all enjoying the AMAZING weather.......that makes me miss momma too, know she would be out with her hands in the dirt.....planting onions, radishes......zillion of things so happy to just be outside.  Okay, I'm done......LOVE YOU ALL

POSTSCRIPT:  What are you all thinking about this walk?  Let's do it!

  1. Hi Kim!
So excited for Mark! I've been to those speech meets and I'm always AMAZED at how the kids can stand up there and act! Love it! We were so bummed we missed out on Nick's bb play too! Wyatt is his biggest fan & has to wear his new 'state shirt' to practice! My boys have been a little under the weather these last few weeks... first fevers/colds, then this week we have hit the ultimate epidemic... coughing til you puke! It's like I have to scream "stop" every time they even spout alittle... Even as a halfway mature mother I still just want to shout "This is sooo gross! Along with "where is my mom to clean it up?" haha! No one warns you about that in parenting class! ha!

Anyway, we are on the mend we think... and trying to get started with our new house, Wyatt calls it "the new/broken house" yup! that pretty much sums it up! Still broken but hopefully we will get some things started here in March/April- Pray for us and our Marriage! haha!

We would be good for the walk if we can bring buckets! ha! Ok ok! Done! Love to you all and see you soon! Love, Wendy & the boys!
