Two Traveling Angels
Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.
As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.
When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.
The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel, "How could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him." she accused. "the second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die."
"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."
"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife, I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."
Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out he way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until sometime later. ..
I can see Mom stepping up and talking with the angel of death and telling him to take her instead of one of us. Maybe that is what happened .. .we just might know until sometime later. . .
I love you all so much I sometimes feel like I could burst-

From my house to yours
Here is the main bathroom. It is just off to the right and down a hallway from the front door. It is between the office and the guest bedroom on the west side of the house. I found this shower curtain quite awhile back and thought it was beautiful so bought it. So glad I have the chance to use it.
Jared has tried all the showers in the house and said this one is a good one. He told me I did good!

Love you--XXOO Lolo

Home sweet home
Okay so here is a sneak
I hate to give away too much otherwise no one will come visit us. . .Here it is hope you enjoy it I know we certainly are!

Here is the entrance light! I love this--Jay wasn't too sure about it thought maybe it was too over the top but I needed a little bling in the house. What do you think?

The fireplace is another item that I absolutely love! It is a propane one so no need to cut wood:) I don't know if I could acturally do that (haha) Jay has wondered many times if I have lost my mind because he has come home from work on these nice days to find me sitting in front of the fire. Maybe I am losing my mind!

So, tell me what you think so far. Tune in as I will be showing you more of the Bellar Home. Next time. . .
the main bathroom! I know you all will be on the edge of your seats waiting for this one!
Love to you all--LOLO

date with a farmer
Hi everyone! Since Taryn appears to be disappointed with us and our blogging, I decided to share a recent 'date' that my husband took me on. It goes a little something like this.....It was a lovely friday evening and I am asked by my handsome date to go on a little trip with him.
First of all, I am told to pack a bag in literally 5 minutes because my date is 'ready to go now'. Next I get picked up in a lovely black Ford F-350 pickup and we head off into unknown parts of Nebraska. We drive back road highways and see many historical sights (military bunkers by Hastings) and end up in Hastings Nebraska at about 8:30 pm. He next takes me to our lovely accomodations for the night, the penthouse suite of the local Super 8 (well, we were on the 2nd floor!) and of course, being the gentleman that he is, I had to pay with my credit card. Next we go out for a lovely meal at a local fancy eating spot known as the Dairy Queen. And it was our lucky day because a bunch of small children decided to come in and have ice cream cones following a big night out at a carnival where they apparently ingested lots of sugar! It amazes me how parents tune out their loud children! (I'm sure I was one of them at one time) Next he took me out for drinks -- we walked across the street to the local Phillips 66 gas station and got a 6-pack and walked back to our lovely suite where I immediately went to bed and my date sat up drinking his beer and watching the local news. We all know David well enough to know that I was awoken bright and early the next morning (6am) to continue our journey. To our surprise, dense fog had moved in during the night time hours and we couldn't see 25 feet in front of us. We started out on the next leg of our journey after a scrumptious breakfast at a wonderful little restaurant that the locals call "McDonald's" . Again, remember, we are out of our element and have never been on these roads before. Here it is, foggy as can be and we plug on looking for road signs that can lead us to our final destination. Finally, we have arrived! Shelton, Nebraska and the local John Deere dealership! Success! We found it and didn't get lost in the fog, now only if we can make it back to southeast Nebraska. David looks at his recent purchase and treasure. It's a keeper and we take off down the road again, in the fog, with a new sprayer attached to the back. It took us approx. 3 1/2 hours to reach our destination but it's going to take us a lot longer to get home due to the fog and driving 35 miles per hour with David's new toy tagging and dragging behind us. Oh, joy! We saw some lovely sights on the way home as well and enjoyed stops at many of the local gas stations for pit stops and lunch which consisted of tootsie rolls, popcorn and pop. We finally made it to home sweet home approx. 5 1/2 hours after we left the quaint little town of Shelton, Nebraska. We were very close to sister Cindy and I waved at the intersection of Hwy 6 & Hwy 81 as we went by. My date told me we were in too much of a hurry to go out of our way to see relatives. I found it quite funny that we were in a hurry when we were traveling at a maximum speed of 35-40 miles per hour all the way home.
So, as we were pulling into the driveway, I told David that since I had just spent all of my friday night and most of my Saturday going to get a sprayer with him that I expected him to go with me one afternoon to look for some new furniture---you should've seen the look on his face! You would have thought that I asked him to go on a year long trip around the world! He told me he couldn't go with me because he didn't have time for that nonsense. Isn't that the way it goes? But all in all, it did end up to be a good weekend and we had a nice time together. OK, that's my boring story....now it's your turn!
Love to All.

I have to tell you family...I am a little disappointed in the lack of blogging that thas been happening lately. Do exciting things this weekend and post them on here immediately!
I have a quick school story for you. So I bought praying mantis's to hatch. Thought it would be a little more interesting than the usual old butterflies. Finally got them in the mail. Very exciting. Started searching youtube for some videos that I could show my kids about the praying mantis. Turns out...they are awful! They eat each other; when they hatch they look like little see through disgusting worm things. Sick! I think that I may be very much regretting this decision that I made within the next few weeks. Cross your fingers that they don't all turn on each other and make my second graders cry as they have to watch it happen :)
Also...for those of you who don't know. April is poetry month. I don't especially like poetry; however, I do like Shel Silverstein. We read the giving tree today and I almost started crying while reading it. It reminds me of each and every one of you. I know, without a doubt, that you would all do absolutely anything that you could for me, without hesitation, and that is one of the reasons that I love you all so very much. If you haven't read it...you should. Such a great story. I'll leave you with my favorite Shel Silverstein poem. I can relate VERY well to little Peggy Ann McKay.
Hugs from Fairbury!!!
SICK
"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
"I have the measles and mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut, my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb,
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is---what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is...Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"
